How does one identify "snake oil in the Tract line of rifle scopes"?
The other companies you mentioned, did they start up with experienced optics people? Did they go to their potential market and asked for suggestions?
Same schitt in a different box.... for $700. "Field and Stream reviews".... same line of "as good as Swaros", "guide wanted to keep them", etc.... Paltry erector travel, no "real world testing" suffice a couple "2" box tests".
There are plenty of places where you can sling schitt like that all over the interweb.... this ain't one. WAY too many folks here who actually use and abuse optics in way too many ways. Way too much real world experience from too many experienced guys. Say what you want about their tact or their prose.... but they're pretty much correct. For a guy like you whose primary use of a riflescope is as a range toy or as a spotting scope... they may look great. So, cough-up the 700 greenbacks and write us a "review"... I'll be looking forward to it... kinda like one of your "ladders"..
