At one time at least down south it was a S&W J-frame 337PD .38 Special with snake loads and hollow points. In the Midwest it has been a S&W 34 .22 LR because a red squirrel is about the meanest thing that I ever encounter. Then I got to thinking that the .22 will work just fine for as a snake load and be a whole lot cheaper and quieter to shoot. Final answer: an Armoloy plated S&W M34.
