Hey, nothing lasts forever, right?

Someday the US republic has to fall.

And just between you and me, don't you think that--especially--recently it's been cruisin' for a bruisin'?

Wouldn't it be better to let it go now while there are still some folks who have pleasant memories of it than to hang onto it grimly until it's an unmitigated atrocity that everybody hates?
