I agree it was for a different reason, but it was a betrayal nonetheless. I disagree that Americans wouldn't do that kind of work. Growing up, I did whatever crappy job I could get to make money. Cheap labor makes for the reason why many Americans wouldn't do that work. In fact, I'd say that argument is the crutch that farmers, ranchers, construction contractors, et al and the Republicans used to justify the action.
