I don't get to enjoy it any more, but I'll never forget my Grandmother pulling out a sheet of hot, homemade biscuits from the oven after dinner and getting out the butter and cane syrup. Desert just didn't get any better. Seems it was always in an old liquor bottle and had sugar crystals on the bottom.

Maple syrup is ok if all you are going to put it on is pancakes made from a box mix. grin
