Most of the outlanders who get maple syrup are stupid enuff to think tat the light amber is what maple syrup is about. Cane syrup is like sweet water compared to dark amber. Three grades of maple syrup light ,medium and dark. A guy I know gets light amber from his uncle. He tried giving me a jug and I near broke the bottle over his head. I had a gallon of pure dark amber and there is NO comparison.
Amen there. Hard to find Dark anywhere except in "sugaring" areas of the country. Wish I had me some.
