Ain't nothin better than good, homemade cane syrup!!!

I still remember stripping sugar cane, and squeezing the juice. My grandmother would cook the syrup in a large black kettle over a open fire. We'd spend hours skimming the juice as it cooked, then strained it in a croker sack, then a flannel sheet.

Hot biscuits and syrup, couple duck eggs, and homemade sausage.
Best breakfast you'd ever want...
