I would suggest that you try a vxIII 6.5x20x40efr before making that statement.I have one on my 22-250 and reguardless of how you mount it,the eye relief changes so much from 6.5x to 20x,that you must move your head to obtain a proper sight picture.I have never had this problem with any scope by any other manufacturer.The only reason that I chose the vxIII is that conquests in this power range were not available with a 40mm objective lens.
As for the eye relief on the conquests,I find the fixed eye relief an advantage,and have never had a problem quickly obtaining the proper sight picture.So on that point,we strongly disagree.However,I do agree with the other points in your post.
