Yep I like it. The blank in the duplicator is the one the stock in the vise was carved from. The carved stock has not been sanded and the light is bad so the grain does not show well. Once a good sanding is accomplished the grain really pops: I like to go down to 800 grit, one friend goes down to 1200. A good sealer and top finish and wow.

The black stocked rifle is a Mark X 458, the stock is totally wrong for this rifle. I will stock it with cast off and sufficient drop to be able to "see" the iron sights. Thinking about an aperture rear sight on the receiver, with the 20 inch barrel there is not enough distance between the sights for me with the barrel mounted rear sight.
