The company I work for unless you are very valued employee or have been there a long time if you put in your two weeks notice 9 times out of 10 they will let you go on the spot. Said company will fight tooth and nail not to pay unemployment a different matter I know. But I can also say that they have never had a lay off for the entire 17 years I have worked there.
