I can't tell you much -- just trivia. The last time I saw John, I was in his shop, forming cases for his first trip to Africa. We exchanged letters for years after that, but all those letters are long lost. I didn't know about any feud with Ann Landers. I still use his old 10-inch commercial Ektar lens on my 4x5 Horseman camera, and my younger daughter now has John's old 4x5 Speed Graphic.
