A friend loaned me his 25-06 and I got a buck with it. Another friend was dogging deer for me and the buck jumped out of a brush pile and I shot him. DRT!!! When I bought my first 243 I wanted either a 25-06 or 243 stainless Ruger 77 MKII. They weren't available in 25-06 at the time. I haven't regretted the 243.
