I hate to admit it but probably the best cartridge I never had is that damned .270. (And I don't intend to make it right either!)
Same here. Never picked up a .270. The first gun I purchased when I was 16 was a model 70 in 7mm rem mag. Since I've added stuff smaller and bigger but went with a 280 instead of the 270 since I already have .284 bullets on hand. .007" doesn't make that much of a difference to me. Not saying I will never own one but it's not real high on my list.
