I’m sure there are great binoculars below the $1k price point. I just bought a Leica HD 8x42 and I could not be more pleased. I could pick out a bedded cow elk turn her head and make out the ears a little over 2,000 yards away on a recent Colorado hunt. Not so sure I would have had that resolution with my old binos.
