I think you're thinking of Waterrat. He has posted pics of dead moose and bear to a 300 Savage in a 722. I'm the 400 Whelen guy. I like the 300 Savage and think highly of it but have not owned one. Yet.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.
