I worked up some handloads, shoots quite well out of my 270's. I believe I went to 61 grains behind it without issues. With so many good bullets available these days have nor used them on Elk, but should be just fine.
Yup, pushing 3100 fps from a 22" tube by my notes.
I use Hornady brass and would be the only reason to by factory stuff- I find Hornady exaggerates a tad ...hence the 6.5 Creedmoor. Cheers
