War is about killing people and breaking things.

And no I don't believe in war crimes. Winner dictates everything.
Once Nations decide to go to WAR all bets should be off.

Unjust atrocities tend the strengthen the enemies resolve, provide him with factual propaganda, and weaken the righteous resolve of your own side and it's allies. Many examples could be sited, Algiers for one.
