For many years, I used a .308 M70 carbine loaded with 150 ballistic tips and Reloder 12. I never lost a deer with that combo. When Reloder 12 went away, I struggled to get the same accuracy.
Nowadays, I load 168 ballistic tips over Reloder 15, and it's accurate in several different .308 rifles. It has worked well on a number of deer that I have shot.
