Teachers is worth a try also. Huge flavor/dollar value.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start looking for them. The reviews sound like what I'm looking for.
My father in law drank Ushers Green Stripe Wasnt top shelf but well above bottom shelf. I gave it a try it was smooth with just a hint of after taste. He was over seas on his first deployment when he first tried it. He was in the Air Force for 22.5 years and another 17 at skunkworks. He told me if I was looking for a decent Scoth that Ushers would work. He called it the working man's Scoth. We miss you Master Sargent ZABIELSKI.
I really appreciate the advise. I'm starting a list. Not going to try and grade it. Feel free to add to it. Teachers Monkey Shoulder Ushers Green Stripe +Dewer’s White -Lauders Bell's Cutty Sark The Famous Grouse
Skip the Green Stripe.
I'll take your advise on the Green Stripe. Leaning towards the Famous Grouse Smoky Black. It can't be worse that the Lauder's I'm working through. The Lauder's taste a little like scotch with a Kessler base. Not too bad after the third sip.
