My favorite but not the best was an old 16 gauge single shot (Iver Johnson?). It was my Dad's and we shot a bunch of Turkeys with it before I was 15. Can't remember how much shot only that we used 7.5's. It was a full choke. Today I like either a 12 ga. Mossber 500 or a 20 ga. Remington 870 both with tight Turley chokes.
