Yes... Copper Plated Lead Shot... I've not attempted a bird at 70, but have shot targets at that range and know what the pattern looks like. I let a young man use it several years ago to can a field bird at 64 yards with LB #5's. Most all my birds are 25-35 yards.


I know the Longbeard shells pattern really well when properly choked. I always keep in mind that it's still lead shot and at extended distances regardless of patterns the individual pellets are required to penetrate and break neck vertebrae and crack skulls. I've killed gobblers out to 50 yards with lead #5's, but no way I personally would try 70 yards. Probably a discussion for a different thread.
