What ever two people chose to do is not my business. When the ad people want to push it as normal, sell it like Winston cigarettes, I object.
I can see how some of those outside the norm could view advertising to the norm as not applicable.
If 10% of the population is black, and is 10% of the TV watching audience, I'd expect 10% of the commercials to try and sell to them.
That just makes sense, if those 10% have 10% of the money.
Personally, such hype doesn't work on me. I am product focused.
A hot gal w a great rack aint gonna make me want to buy a junk product.
BUT............stupid ads, or those pushing an agenda............hell even if they have crap music...............I'll buy a competitor's product if comparable.

Used to use Gillette razors. Decades.
Their "toxic" ad had me change brands. I boycott a lot of companies.
Its my fuggin money.
