Putin stopped it, because he didn't like the look of rich Americans
coming into Russia and taking care of Russian kids,
when Mother Russia couldnt/wouldnt.
And so ended a beautiful thing.
Hopeless orphans got homes with wealthy families,
That got a child that fit right into their new families.
