About a month ago I was stopped in Idaho for speeding. When the sheriff came up to my car, I had my license, registration and insurance ready for him. He said something like "any reason for you to be speeding" and I respectfully said "No, officer, I was just trying to get home and was speeding."

I didn't deny what I had been doing (80 in a 55), didn't give the sheriff a bad time and made the process easy for both of us.

I just don't understand why people refuse to hand over their IDs to law enforcement unless they are looking for a fight. And picking a fight with law enforcement is a stupid idea.

Of course, about 2 hours later I was back at it, hitting 145 mph between Elko and Reno...


Eliminate qualified immunity and you'll eliminate cops who act like they are above the law.
