I think the jerk hiker got what he deserved. The officer was very professional and easy to deal with. The officer did what he needed to do.
Absolutely the officer was very polite and professional.
Those situations are never fun for the officer.

The Aahummm,,, officer was getting his panties wet asserting authority.
Again, no idea if the escalation of force was followed with the taser being deployed right away. But quire literally, that is how they train the officers. He must have been very attentive, as he used the exact phraseology they teach.
Unless he is a psychopath, the ranger would have been pretty stressed after it was over. And the paperwork would be enormous. Then the debriefing and use of force investigation. Not fun.
