Thanks for the input, I've been eyeing the Ruger GP100 as the most likely candidate, but always interested in what others here think.

I already have a Redhawk and a Bisley in 45 Colt and not much more robust than those two for sure ( yeah, the FA M83 is like a bank vault, Ed!), but consider them filling more of a specialty niche for me, I should have been more specific. I'm thinking along the lines of DA EDC for both town and country/back country where the reliability in adverse conditions would be most important, at least as far as revolvers can realistically be counted on. But also for self defense training because I don't have a lot of time with a revolver and want to learn if for no other reason than just because (channeling Bill Jordon?). I also have a bunch of 357 brass and bullets that need to get shot for trigger time and avoid burning up the 9mm supply.



Ruger SP101... Should fit the bill nicely..
