It happened to me at a shooting range with rented gun. They had to send it to gunsmith to make it work again. I am not saying that it is something that happens a lot, but it happened to me for that reason I would rather have Smith & Wesson. When the screw came out and cylinder release button came off the resolver could still be used. That is a big plus in favor of S&W vs. Ruger. This was old pre-lock S&W. I am not sure if lock on their newer guns should be of concern.
