Not much to you Montana guys, I know, but down here, the houses aren’t set up for cold weather. Most of the fireplaces are as much “decorative” as they are functional. Down in Houston, the outages are not just electrical. The water plants don’t have the power to maintain pressure, so now you’ve got folks who can’t even get water.

Most will ride it out, and have a story or two to tell, but it’s just a real clusterfugg, right now, and probably could have been prevented if EPA hadn’t made it so rough on a few of the coal plants, and ERCOT had insisted on a few “contingency plans”...

I see where you're coming from, understood.

Here's an interesting piece of information, and I quote.

"Fun fact of the day: spoke to my brother this evening and he works for WAPA. They shut power off in NE Montana to send to Texas."

Continued from twitter.......

"Sitting in the dark again. How does that work since Texas’ power grid isn’t connected?

I’ll pm you video... it’s too long for me to explain on here... basin electric provides power from MT and ND all the way to the gulf states and NM. Big power is hard to understand. Ft Peck is on full hydro to divert power to other grids..look for vid in a min."
