The standoff ensued Thursday afternoon on a residential street in Levelland, about 30 miles west of Lubbock.
Details are sketchy, but three of the wounded officers were taken to a Lubbock hospital while one went to a Levelland hospital, which placed itself on lockdown.
In a social media posting, the Levelland Police Department said one of the wounded officers is part of its force while others are from multiple police agencies assisting its response.
Update: There are four wounded law enforcement officers. One has been confirmed as a Levelland Police Officer. Two of the wounded are critical. Prayers for all law enforcement as they continue trying to resolve this dangerous situation.

At this time, local law enforcement is dealing with a barricaded subject in the 1100 block of 10th Street, between Ave J & Ave I. There are three wounded Levelland Police Officers. All have been transported to Lubbock. Other agencies, including Hockley County Sheriff's Office, DPS and Lubbock S.W.A.T., are onsite. Please avoid this area, and allow law enforcement to keep the area secure.
