Should Republicans run the President again in 24? I think that’s a matter of legitimate debate.
Should the Republicans leave the party to chumps like McConnell and sniveling pansy never Trumpers who are content with a Republican Party that squawks about Leftism but never gets anything done? I have no doubt there are many who’d be fine with that, including the author cited in the OP if not the poster himself.
Can they even avoid that scenario if they decide not to run the President in 24? That’s a tough question too.
Trump won because he was an outsider who called the absurdity and debauchery of DC for what it was in 16. Republicans just don’t speak that strongly.
Of course all of this assumes free & fair elections which I don’t think is a fair assumption…
