Very difficult dealing with aged parents that are at life's end. I'll add not everyone can cope with it. When my Mother was at death's doorstep I just couldn't go in there. She wasn't aware of anyone or anything and her body was in the final stages of shut down. I did all the heavy lifting in Mom's last several years and thankfully my sister stepped up and was happy to be with her in the final stage when breathing stopped.
