Used to use the Hornady 25 grain HP in my 17 Rem on coyotes occasionally and it always surprised me how much damage it did. They didn't always punch through, but when they did it looked like an explosion happened inside the dog... I know it isn't a 22-250 , but it goes to show nothing is absolute. Depending on where you shoot them can make a big difference in my experience. I've never kept furs so I'm not picky about where I shoot them as long as they go down quickly.

BSA, what has been your experience with the 53 grain Vmax? I haven't used any of them on coyotes yet, but possibly in a couple weeks. I'm going by reports of guys I know who use them and seem to like them a lot... I've had good results with 40gr BT's so far in the 223 and 223AI and they are spectacular on Rock Chucks in the 22-250 and the 223AI... I also have some 50 and 55 grain BT's I'm going to experiment with soon, at least when I can get back to the range ....
