Revelation was written for the benefit of the Christians of the period who suffered under the Romans, to give them hope....
... and continues to give hope to the church in these last days. Likewise, Chronicles was written for the benefit of the exiles returning from the Babylonian captivity to give them hope and continues to give hope to the church in these last days.
