I think it's great that some of you still have your first CF. As I said, my first rifle went away. It was a tired, worn out WWI surplus rifle. This one I got in the early 1980s. It is on its third barrel. the first two were 303 scrounge. The third is a Shilen barrel blank, contoured and chambered in 30-303. I kept the chamber, but used a 308 barrel.

This is the rifle after I swapped out the original barrel. It was a Long Branch Arsenal barrel, lightly used.

The rifle below is the latest. Shilen 308. I reworked the wood and metal because it was showing its age. So the barrel isn't original, and the rest is restored. My grandkids can have it when I'm done with it.
