Yep! Still my primary elk rifle. It started out as a m70 featherweight classic in 280 rem. Killed everything I shot with it. 3 years ago, I had Matt Stewart put a new Kreiger barrel on it and I forgot which stock, and rechamber it for 35 whelen. It’s an unbelievable hunting rifle and crushes the elk. He does great work if you are looking for work like this by the way. He used to work for surgeon rifles for years before he started up his own biz.
