Working after school and in Summer I bought a brand new Gibson Les Paul while I was in high school in the late 70's. In today's dollars that's about $3,500. I also bought other guitars and amps, tons of records, stereo equipment and gun or two while I was in high school. This ain't rocket science, if you live with your parents and don't have living expenses the part time money adds up quick.
