Our medical director wants us to use the smaller dose nasal applicator for that very reason.
She wants us to give a little bit....just to get them breathing on their own again....but keep them sedated.
She figures we can meter it out slowly so the patient won't become combative.
The combative patient does happen...but it's pretty rare apparently.
