Only way I could shoot my dog is if he was hit by a car or mauled and was suffering horribly .
A slow painful death, I'd want the vet to come and I'd be in the room holding him when the drugs were given.
I don't want to even think about it, that dog is my right arm. I feel for the OP and anyone else who went thru it recently.
I put a dog down I had for 15 years 6 years ago and I cried like a baby for 2 hours. Still have a picture of him as my background on my phone.
