Depends on which one you shoot best.Some don't like or can't shoot as well with,a 300 WM vs a 270.It happens....And sometimes the 300 will be a heavier rifle.

If the recoil and/or rifle weight of a 300 is too much,use a 270.There's no doubt the 300 is the more powerful rifle,but the name of the game is still get the rifle up the mountain and put a good bullet where it counts.
