Wyoming State law
In addition, the Commission authorizes any other cartridge fired from a firearm that has a barrel bore diameter of at least thirty-five hundredths (35/100) of an inch and the cartridge generally delivers at least five hundred (500) pounds of impact at one hundred (100) yards and cartridges used are loaded with a lead, soft or expanding bullet point.

Oh! OK so you shot it illegally.

Now Fotis, if a reloader knows how to work up a load judiciously, and installs the proper recoil spring, and more than likely uses a 230 gr cast lead bullet; heck, he might even use a 6" barrel. He can obtain the 980 or so, fps required to obtain 500 FPE @ 100 yds with a 1911. I know, I've done it with my 5" Ed Brown and 230 gr FN LBT's using Veral Smith's molds and his LBT blue lube. Utah, my home state, has the same FPE requirement as Wyoming.
