I made a pattern stock from a laminate that I got from Boyds, the laminates make great patterns because its easy to keep your lines straight with the laminate layers.

Then I went thru a huge pile of blanks at Ed Presliks in Chico,Ca.,
looking for the right combination of grain and weight.

Then I sent the blank and pattern to Dennis Olson, in Plains,Mt.,
and he turned the blank for me.
The pad is a red deccelerator.
Tim-Smith Lyons does my checkering.
Dave at I,T&D fitted the barrel.

I highly recommend all these guys they do great work with short
turn-arounds, and are fairly priced.

Edm,
I will get some more pics for you later today, I am heading up the Mtn. to do some long range shooting.
irfubar. What do you consider a quick turnaround from the ones you mentioned? The work I've sent recently (Richard's MF and indirectly to PTG) is taking months. Thanks for your input.
