Ive been seeing a lot of 2wd chevy's with Z-71 stickers lately, I think they are coming from the factory that way now. I also believe that Chevy's are still the best gas pickups out there.
Chevrobama figured out a long time ago that you can even sell a Celebrity or Baretta if you put the letter 'Z' on it somewhere...
