Geez, this is an old thread. My latest 223 endeavor consisted of shooting 3 ar's and 1 savage predator bolt action to try and dial in 1 good load for the lot of them... One interesting thing that you guys might like is the 1 in 9 twist barrel on the 22 savage predator, stabilized the heavy 77gr Sierra TMK bullet very well. Actually surprisingly well. .... Check out these holes. Nice and round with no signs of tumbling:
