My son used a 7-08 and 140 gr. Accubond on his first big game hunt and killed this elk at just shy of 300yards. Yep, my son was rattled with about 75 elk getting the heck out of Dodge, but he stayed on this cow and dropped her for good on his 3rd shot. Of the 3 rounds, only one was recovered and was right at 65% weight retention if memory serves me right. Oh, and that is a BIG friggin cow!



Might also add that the load is mild, only 2750 at the muzzle...
