One of the ships I was on pulled into Mombassa Kenya in 71 & the locals there were quite vocal about how distasteful they found the arrogant (their words) American blacks. (maybe that was the black version of "the white mans burden"??? )...the riots of the 60's made a distinct impression on them. The blacks I met in africa were an entirely different species than ours.
