Dude, there was a sweet Cold Steel ad back in the day, that showed one of their early versions of the Tanto IIRC, coming down on some gambler's hand that had a .22 Mag. High Standard Derringer in it. Moral: If you're going to play high stakes poker and pretend you're Doc or Wyatt, have a Tanto handy if somebody pulls a derringer on you.



I remember the first CS LE "warning" I saw at the Dallas range about 1980 stating that the knife could penetrate soft body armor...I ran right out and bought one. It rode on my leg strapped on with two TECNA divers straps upside down. Turns out that knife was from the first batch that were made in the USA by GREBER for CS. It was finally replaced with a Model 42 {I think I said 38 before} after a couple of years. Still have the knife.
