In the 60’s we use to hitch hike very often.
It was pretty sure you’d get a ride, and yes fairly often a woman would stop.
Pretty much, everybody trusted everybody else.
I once got a ride from Willy Shoemaker (famous jocky back then)
He had a Huge Cadillac.....
