Buff Bore’s 44 mag Deer Grenades with their 240-gr. softpoint and a hollow point you could drink tea from show on the box about 1550 fps for a handgun. I was somewhat startled when chrono’d out of my Marlin ‘94’s 20” tube, they were in the 1925 fps range and regularly printed in the 1.5” range for three shots at a 100 yds. Depending on the actual function of that bullet on impact, that seems quite a good 44 mag deer load.
