I will be hunting with my 44 carbine this year in Ohio in Wayne National Forest. Shots in the big timber there are from 15-30 yards generally. We always joke its almost hand to hand combat. The farthest shot in 28 years I have taken is 70 yards. I been using a Marlin lever in 444. I wanted to use this carbine for some time. I think this year is the year.
