I have "baby-sat" two K98's both in 8mm One was the neighbor's (Mannlicher) he let me use it for a couple weeks. The other was from a friend who had his Dads WWII military, he knew nothing about it and wanted me to see if it was safe. After a thorough cleaning she was amazingly pristine... sadly I had to give it back. But I called "dibbs" when or if he ever sells it. Mention it every time I see him nowdays.
We don't take friends camping... we MAKE friends camping!
